Preparing August 31st... Preparando o dia 31 de Agosto...

On August 31st, 2010, an important event for the history of Mesquita will take place - the event on which EOSS has worked for the past two months for Mesquita's Prefecture.

The organization that goes into such an event is huge, and our EOSS team has been going back and forth between Rio de Janeiro and Mesquita in preparation for this event. How to reach out to as many women and men to participate and how to engage as many people as possible in the Public Policy Plan for Women is of primary importance.

As they were walking back to the train station this week, Daise and Erika spotted one of the banners, hung above Mesquita' main street - one of the many ways the Prefeitura is informing people about the event.

O dia 31 de Agosto do 2010, um evento muito importante pela historia de Mesquita vai acontecer - o evento pelo qual EOSS trabalhou esses dois meses passados para a Prefeitura de Mesquita.

Precisa-se de muita organisacao para que aconteca tal evento, e nossa equipe EOSS fez muitas idas e voltas entre o Rio de Janeiro e Mesquita para preparar esse evento. Como disseminar a informacao e animar as pessoas interessar-se nessas politicas que vao afetar a vida das mulheres e da comunidade intera é de importança primordial.

Enquanto estavam andando à estaçao de trem, Daise e Erika ohlaram uns dos postêrs sobre a rua principal de Mesquita - so é um dos meios que a Prefeitura esta usando para informar as pessoas sobre o evento!
